Training and Exploration of the Uses of S.P.I.

Our team can arrange to present a one-day workshop for your organization, outlining SPI methods and techniques that may be most appropriate to the projects you typically face. These workshops will include hands-on use of the technologies involved in SPI, so that participants can better understand and judge how this approach fits with their needs. The workshop will include a discussion of typical audience response technologies and their dynamics with large groups, typical uses of representation technologies such as GIS, Virtual Reality, and 3D Renderings, along with ‘photo-shopping’ and data representation. The workshop will also include discussion of the various approaches for decision support systems (DSS) that can be derived from properly-structured public participation processes.

Our typical arrangement with an entity is to provide our time, materials, and resources, while the sponsoring entity provides our travel, lodging, and per diem, and provides the workshop logistics in terms of attendees, facility, and so forth. A typical agenda follows, but agendas can be fully customized to questions, topics, and projects of specific interest to the agency.
