When you see members of the public after they’ve seen their comments incorporated, they’re excited. There’s a sense among them that, ‘I counted.’![]()

Why Are People So Satisfied With S.P.I. Meetings?
1. Fairness:
Everyone Gets an Equal Voice Satisfaction with S.P.I. meetings is not a function of the quality of the milk and cookies being served. As experienced facilitators and members of the International Association of Facilitators, we know that the most important aspect of the meeting is the process itself, and treating people fairly. People want to come to a well-organized, efficient, respectful meeting where they can provide informed input that matters. And they have a right to expect that. We can and have addressed all manner of questions about public infrastructure, from problem definition to planning to design questions.
Typical Questions S.P.I Addresses in Open Public Meetings
1. Eploratory
2. Analytic
3. Aesthetic
